I am a Clinical Animal Behaviourist, educator, researcher and expert witness with over 20 years of professional experience in animal behaviour, training and welfare.
I hold a BSc in Zoology from University College Cork and an MSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Newcastle University. My work combines academic research, clinical practice and extensive hands-on experience, specialising in complex behavioural cases including aggression, fear, anxiety, reactivity and inter-animal conflict.
I am the founder of Creedons College of Canine Studies, where I have spent many years developing and delivering professional qualifications and training programmes for dog trainers and behaviour professionals. Education is a significant part of my career, and I am passionate about improving professional standards through evidence-based teaching and ethical, welfare-focused practice.
My academic contributions include published research in the Irish Veterinary Journal, and I have acted as an adviser to the Irish Government on dangerous dog legislation and policy.
I also undertake expert witness work, providing independent, evidence-based behavioural assessments and professional opinions in legal proceedings involving dogs, including aggression and dangerous dog cases.
My television work includes Channel 4’s The Dog Academy, Channel 5’s Cats & Dogs at War, ITV’s Good Morning Britain, RTÉ and GB News, where I help communicate animal behaviour science to a wider audience.
Now based in Scotland, I work across the UK and Ireland, combining clinical behaviour consultations, professional education, research and expert witness services.
Throughout my career, my focus has remained the same: improving animal welfare, advancing professional understanding of behaviour, and helping people develop safer, more positive relationships with their animals.
